Industrial Certificate in Sports and Fitness Nutrition offers knowledge and skill up gradation among students/healthcare professionals as dietitians/doctors/. IGMPI is offering an opportunity to become a Sports Nutritionist for those who understand that people are more conscious and concerned about their health to play sports well, so they look for the Professional Sports Nutritionist or Personal Nutritionist who has Diploma to reassure that they are trained and qualified in the sports nutrition field. This professional typically works in a: fitness gym, clinics, and sports academies. A Sport Nutrition Specialist helps clients (i.e., fitness enthusiast, sports person or athletes) to develop their fitness routine and body building.

The objective of this course is to recognize nutrition and fitness in adopting that right amount of nutrients to be provide in sports person and athlete life, pre and post nutrition, sports strategies to enhance performance and supplements are required for their training and dietary guidelines for an athlete to performance better with proper knowledge of health supplements and ergogenic aids. On completion of this course students will be able to explain that how to improve nutrition and training status of an athlete and sports person, with learning of supplement knowledge and enhance the performance by right nutrition and diet planning.

The course has been designed for professionals and students aspiring to work in the field of Sports nutrition as dietitians, nutritionists, research work in projects.

Module 8: Supplementation in Sports Nutrition

Module 9: Aerobics and Exercise Techniques

Module 10: Sport-Specific Strategies to Enhance Performance: Strength and Power Sports, Endurance, Weight Lifting

Module 11: Case Studies

Module 12: Practical (Diet Plan, Use for Kcal Count, IBW, BMI, Prepared Meals for Different Sports Persons, Dish Planning)


Graduation/Pharma/Medical/Biomedical/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Food Science &Technology/any Engineering & related disciplines & Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification exam or awaiting their results, are eligible to apply.

Programme Duration

Minimum time in which a student can complete this certificate course is 3 months while a maximum of six months are allowed to complete the programme.

  • – Online classes for all the modules will be conducted on the weekends. Moreover, a doubt clearing session will also be scheduled before the examination.

  • – Assessment and evaluation for all the programme modules in order to enhance the levels of competencies and skills of the participants leading towards the objective of application in the job.
  • – At the end of each programme modules, the trainers shall obtain feedback from the participants using specially designed questionnaires.
  • – All learning and training delivery initiatives shall be conducted in English.

Examination & Certification

IGMPI follows a credit system based on all all learning activities involved in studying for all PG Diploma, Executive Diploma and Certificate Programmes. Each of your modules is equal to 4 credits. To successfully complete the programme, you will have to earn all the credits assigned to your programme.

All the participants are obliged to timely submit completed assessment assignments (during the course, usually after every module) and appear for an online exam at the end of the course. After successful completion, the participants will be awarded Industry Certificate in Sports and Fitness Nutrition by Centre for Nutriton & Dietetics Studies (CNDS), IGMPI. For all the above mentioned modules elaborate course material, self-assessment assignments and project work details would be provided by the Institute from time to time.
