TrialAssure’s new online portal “TrialResults.com” comes as a boon when the industry faces mounting pressure to be more transparent than ever. It enables sponsors to publicly share clinical trial summaries in simple language and provide a platform for participants to access summaries in their native language.
According to TrialAssure Product Solutions Manager Zach Weingarden, there is unmet requirement to distribute plain language trial summaries to participants, for many of sponsors, the company works with. However, the need for such platform is always there to overcome challenges while disseminating the information.
He also added that making the summaries available online connects participants with sponsors even after years of trial completion and participants can access it conveniently.
He noted that traditionally, trial summaries have been distributed as physical copy by mail, and while this trend may continue, but providing summaries online is equally important as the physical address of the participant may change.
“Sharing the trial summary with the participants is as important as sharing the summary with researchers and medical community”, Weingarden told.
The software company also released a limited number of software-as-a-service (SaaS) application, which allows sponsors to anonymize clinical trial data automatically.
