Peanuts Recalled by PepsiCo because of Aflatoxin contamination.

Peanuts were recalled from multiple countries due to higher than permitted levels of Aflatoxin contamination in the product. According to PepsiCo, the product has been sent to and sold in Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. PepsiCo is requesting people not to consume the product and return it to the point of sale. Aflatoxins are poisonous carcinogens , they are produced by moulds which grow in soil, decaying vegetation, hay, and grains. Children are particularly affected by Aflatoxin exposure, which is associated with stunted growth, delayed development, liver damage, and liver cancer.
