Industry Certificate Programme in Counselling and Family Therapy mark a departure from the traditional individualistic therapeutic understanding of mental health and adopt a systemic framework of viewing relationships. To gain a contextual understanding of the nature of relational concerns and difficulties faced by Indian families, couples and child in today’s globalizing world. You will learn about history and origin of family and couple therapy, and about basic concepts of System’s theory & some other theories & approaches to family counselling. Assessment skills will be involved in couple and family therapy. Participants will learn detailed understanding of addressing couple concerns and special technique of dealing with the same. Also, participant will able to examine ethical and legal concerns that emerge during couple and family counselling and ways of addressing the same.
Therapists may be psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers or counselors. The objective of the course is to give knowledge about nature of difficulties faced by couples and families, ways of assessing and conceptualizing the same and methods of applying this knowledge to intervene.

Graduation/ B.tech/ B.Sc. in Microbiology/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Zoology/ Food Science/ Food Technology/ BE/ B.Pharma/ MBBS/ BDS/ BHS/ BUMS/ BAMS or any other discipline. Diploma holders are eligible for our Executive Diploma, Industry Certificate, and Certificate Programmes.
Minimum time in which a student can complete this Executive Diploma course is six months, while a maximum of twelve months (i.e. 1 year) are allowed to complete the course.

IGMPI follows a credit system based on all learning activities involved in studying for all PG Diploma, Executive Diploma and Certificate Programmes. Each of your modules is equal to 4 credits. To successfully complete the programme, you will have to earn all the credits assigned to your programme.
All the participants are obliged to timely submit completed assessment assignments (during the course, usually after every module) and appear for an online exam at the end of the course. After successful completion, the participants will be awarded Industry Certificate Programme in Counselling and Family Therapy by Faculty of Healthcare Administration, IGMPI.
