Certified Dietician (CD)

A Certified Dietician (CD) is a health professional that works in the nutrition and fitness field. IGMPI is offering an opportunity to become a Certified Dietician (CD) for those who understand that people are more conscious and concerned about their health, so they look for the Dietician or Personal Nutritionist who has certification to reassure that they are trained and qualified in the nutrition field. It is not just a growing industry but a whole new area that understands the need of good food habits and imparts guidance to develop a healthy world. Growing public interest in taking control of one’s health is likely to improve employment prospects for dietetics professionals. These professionals would design dietary treatments not only for diseased individuals but also work on some health drives for those who love to lead a hale and hearty lifestyle. The growing and aging population will also contribute to this increasing demand for precise nutrition information and diet plans.

Post graduation in food and nutrition/food science/food technology related disciplines & Candidates appearing for the final year of their degree/equivalent qualification exam or awaiting their results, are eligible to apply.


The registration dates for this certification run by the institute are updated timely on the website. Effective E- learning tools incorporated into the curriculum make the certification lectures, videos and study material easily accessible. This gives huge window of self-regulated and self-paced performance to the participants. After registration is confirmed by the institute, the requisite study resources, assessment test papers will be dispatched to the participants. The study resources are considered sufficient for the preparation of the certification exam. However, the participants should feel free to go through other study resources as well. The certification examination will be notified after 2 months of the registration.

Certification and Membership Fees

Rs. 60,000/- for Indian nationals and 1000 USD for overseas Professionals. This covers the certification registration fee and examination fee. An additional membership fee of Rs 4,500/-( USD 200 USD for overseas) is to be paid in order to avail the services of Certified Study Resources and training for the preparation of the certification exam.

Assessment & Certification

All the participants are expected to appear for online assessment. After successfully qualifying the examination, the participants will be awarded the professional certification of Certified Dietician (CD) by IGMPI. For all the above mentioned elaborate study resources, Assessment test papers and case studies would be provided by the Institute from time to time. Details get updated on the website as well. The certification will be awarded after the required levels of knowledge, skills, professionalism and attitude are assessed through the IGMPI assessment process.

Project- Work

All the participants need to complete a project work on given healthcare product. The certification will be awarded after the completion of Project work. Format and other related details would be provided by the Institute before the examination.
