The Entrepreneurship Development in Fruits and Vegetable Industry will help students to develop their skills in the areas of Fruits & Vegetable Processing Industry. They will gain a deeper understanding of the quality testing, safety and analysis of enriching elements in Fruit and Vegetable Industry. With developed skills in product and process development for the Fruit and Vegetable industry, students /professionals will be able to work in industry and research Institutes.
In order to enhance the knowledge in the area of Fruits & Vegetable Technology, FFSQ, IGMPI has designed this programme. This is undertaken through theoretical knowledge and practical skill as both are essential to master the field of Fruits and Vegetable industry.
The objective of this programme is to give knowledge about types of fruits and vegetable, their composition and nutritive value; handling, storage, and transportation, and processing of different kind of products like juices, jams, jelly, marmalades, pickles, chutney etc.
On completion of this programme student will be able to explain the advanced processing of Fruits and Vegetable. You can apply the various concepts of food chemistry in preservation and processing; also analyse the effect of various processing techniques on the quality of products, discuss and plan the by- product utilization of fruits and Vegetable industry. We will provide you with basic knowledge for setting up area and plant.
