Badarpur Thermal Power Plant will remain shut down till March to prevent severe levels of pollution

This is one of the necessary measures taken to control the pollution of New Delhi as these days Delhi’s air quality has reached to “very poor” category. Government has taken this step to avoid the situation similar to last year November. This is the first winter that such a decision has taken.

It will be closed permanently in July 2018.

Similarly Brick kilns have also been closed which have not been converted to ‘zig-zag’ technology.
